It’s our 25th anniversary this summer, and we’re celebrating a quarter-century of FUN and innovation. We’ve moved from the kitchen table to a state-of-the-art factory, but we’re still headquartered in Bremen, Germany, where we’ve been since day one.
FUN FACTORY started in 1996, with a hunch that we could set a new standard in the pleasure industry—and we were right. We have a lot of firsts under our belt (we love firsting), and some of our moonshot ideas, from waterproof vibes to rechargeable toys, have since become industry standard. And our ethics make us just as proud as our inventions: We’re still paying our factory workers a living wage in Germany, keeping a small carbon footprint, and using only body-safe materials.
We love all our toys, but here’s a look back at some of the ones that broke new ground.
PULSATORS are the world’s first self-thrusting toys. They allow for hands-free play and deliver sensations that past toys couldn’t. After debuting these toys, we heard customer feedback and followed up with a second generation of lighter, slimmer toys.
LAYA II is the industry’s first ergonomic lay-on vibrator. A bestseller since the start, the toy now has a sleek rechargeable design. Also, midwives in Europe recommend using LAYA II to stimulate the flow of breast milk.
FUN CUP is the first ergonomic, gender-neutral, and sex-positive menstrual cup. We brought our progressive ethics to sizing, which is based on fit and flow, not on age or childbirth. And the EXPLORE KIT is designed for how periods actually work, with some light days and some heavier days.
But enough looking back. Enter into our email list, and you’ll have something to look forward to: a big celebration of our 25th birthday. Sign up and stay tuned!
